Justice Act at Camp Lejeune

To help those affected by the toxic water circumvent North Carolina's statute of repose, lawmakers introduced the Camp Lejeune Justice Act of 2022.

Experts anticipate that it will soon pass the Senate after passing the House with an overwhelming majority

Contamination of Camp Lejeune's water

Over a million men, women, and children were exposed to toxic water at Camp Lejeune between 1953 and 1987. As a result of ingesting benzene-contaminated water, hundreds of infants died. It wasn't just children who were affected by the toxic water. It is estimated that thousands of Marines, family members, and civilian staff have developed severe illnesses since then, including cancer and Parkinson's disease.
